I'm afraid to make a fool out of myslef lol that's why I've been putting of trying it for so long. But today when I was ridding Rosie I decided that I was gonna find a place to try dressage lol! I told the lady that I've never done dressage before that I've always been a hunter/jumper and she said that a lot of her students have "converted" from other kinds of ridding so I dont feel so bad now lol!

Ooh, have fun tomorrow!!! Haha, ask her if anyone has ever switched from saddle seat to dressage I think if I take a different discipline it would be easier to learn hunter/jumper before learning dressage. But I don't know.

dressage is so much fun! Dont worry about making a fool of your self! You start out simple walk trot canter stuff, you dont even have to get in a frame right away...i do dresdsage in a snaffle. its not all like fancy stuff

My horsey and I have big issues with jumping (aka we're both nervous wrecks the moment we try to jump outside), so I think I wanna start doing dressage with him. My trainer already had me doing collection & flexion with him (I can get him to flex at the poll & raise his back for about 10 steps at walk/trot/canter after working with him for an hour), but does anyone have any advice about what to expect and what to work on? He's a very smart horse and seems to like the stuff we're doing with flexion & collection, and I have ridden hunters for 10 years, NO dressage experience AT ALL!
